In this work, the subject of the study was the study of medical terms in English linguistics as the etymology of Greek and Latin languages. The purpose of the study is to analyze the Greek and Latin origins of medical terms used in English and compare them. The study used methods of comparison, analysis and synthesis. Hippocrates' contribution to medical terminology and the fact that his works are still used in medicine today determine the relevance of the article.The study results also confirmed that medical terms used in English are etymologies from Greek and Latin.
