The article discusses the clinical manifestations, transmission mechanisms, diagnostic and treatment methods, and the epidemiological situation associated with the spread of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF). (CCHF) is an acute viral natural focal infectious disease with a transmissible mechanism of pathogen transmission, caused by a virus of the Bunyaviridae family, genus Nairovirus, characterized by fever, general intoxication, hemorrhagic syndrome and a severe course. This disease is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected ticks, and can also be transmitted from person to person through blood and biological fluids.
The incubation period of the disease is from 2 to 14 days, after which acute symptoms occur, including high fever, headache, myalgia, and also
possible hemorrhagic manifestations, such as nosebleeds and gum bleeding. Despite the high mortality rate of this disease, specific treatment remains
limited, with no registered antiviral drugs, which
emphasizes the importance of timely diagnosis and supportive therapy.
Preventive measures include the use of insect bite protection and
information education of the population about the modes of transmission and symptoms of the disease.
Assessment of the circumstances leading to the emergence of cases of the disease and measures to control
infectious diseases are key to reducing mortality and
preventing outbreaks of CCHF.
