Abstract

Cochlear implantation is a surgical procedure used to help people with hearing loss regain their hearing. A cochlear implant is a special electronic device that is placed in the ear to restore or improve hearing. It is implanted in the part of the inner ear called the cochlea. This implant stimulates the auditory nerve with electrical signals, allowing sounds to be transmitted to the brain. Cochlear implantation mainly helps people who have completely or partially lost their hearing.
