This article provides a broad overview of the life and work of the great Austrian composer Franz Peter Schubert, especially his work in the genre of vocal music - romance. Schubert's musical heritage, especially in his romances, is analyzed on a scientific basis, including poetic images, musical means of expression, and piano-vocal harmony.
