This article discusses the Jadid movement that emerged in Central Asia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, its main ideas and historical significance. In particular, the activities of the progressive representatives of this movement - writers, educators and reformers, their contribution to science and enlightenment are analyzed. Through the article, readers will gain extensive information about the educational, political and cultural services rendered by the Jadids in their time
