Oxidative stress is currently the root cause of many diseases that afflict humanity. One of these diseases is myocardial infarction. In 2022, 23,200 cases of acute myocardial infarction were recorded, of which 4,700 people died from myocardial infarction. Despite the advances made in medicine in the last decade, myocardial infarction remains the leading cause of death. Two main physiological processes contribute to myocardial infarction. These are oxidative stress and heart attack. Oxidative stress occurs in all forms of heart disease and may serve as a key biomarker for the treatment of heart disease[1]. Among the factors that damage the functional system of mitochondria, the accumulation of free radicals in the cell, including high concentrations of H2O2, accelerates the process of mitochondrial membrane LPO, causing disruption of the cellular antioxidant system.
