This thesis presents information on the chemical composition of the Russian
prickly artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.) plant and its use as a choleretic agent. The amount of
vitamins, flavonoids, and biogenic elements that affect the functioning of the gallbladder was
determined in the plant.
