OBSTETRIC AND PERINATAL OUTCOMES OF BIRTH IN WOMEN WITH A UTERINE SCAR

Abstract

This article examines obstetric and perinatal outcomes of births in women with a uterine scar resulting from previous surgeries such as cesarean section. The study is based on the analysis of clinical data collected in obstetric institutions and includes a comparative analysis between women with and without a uterine scar. The focus is on the incidence of complications such as uterine rupture and the assessment of the condition of the newborn. The study found that women with a uterine scar have a higher risk of obstetric complications, but with proper monitoring and preparation, the risk to the mother and child can be significantly reduced. Factors influencing perinatal outcomes, including maternal age, general health, and the quality of antenatal care, are also discussed. The findings highlight the need for an individualized approach to pregnancy and childbirth management in women with a uterine scar, as well as the importance of regular monitoring to prevent negative outcomes [2].
