FEATURES OF THE COURSE OF PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH IN WOMEN WITH A POST-POSTPONED PREGNANCY.

Abstract

Pregnancy beyond 42 weeks is called post-term, and it may be accompanied by various features and risks for both the mother and the fetus. This article reviews the key aspects of the course of pregnancy and childbirth in women with post-term pregnancy, including pathophysiological changes that may affect the health of the mother and child. Factors contributing to post-term pregnancy, such as genetic predisposition, lifestyle, and the woman's health status, are examined. Possible complications, including an increased risk of fetal hypoxia, mechanical injuries during childbirth, and the need for obstetric interventions, are analyzed. The article also covers approaches to monitoring the condition of the mother and fetus in late pregnancy, as well as methods of labor management in women with post-term pregnancy. Particular attention is paid to the individualization of obstetric care and the use of modern technologies to reduce the risk of complications [1].
