Abstract

Endophytes are used in agriculture, biotechnology, ecology and medicine. They increase crop yields, protect plants from pests and stress, participate in the bioremediation of contaminated soils and synthesize biofuels.
Some endophytes produce medicinal compounds, including anti-cancer and antibacterial drugs.
