THE ROLE OF MEDICINAL PLANTS IN DIABETES CONTROL

Diabetes is one of the most important
problems facing the healthcare system, and its prevalence is increasing year by year. This disease is caused by a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism and is characterized by high blood sugar levels. Along with traditional medicines, medicinal plants are used as an effective additional method for controlling diabetes. Their mechanisms of action include stimulating insulin production, lowering glucose levels, increasing insulin sensitivity, and having an anti-inflammatory effect.
