IMPROVEMENT OF COMPLEX THERAPY OF LOCALLY ADVANCED CANCER OF THE ORAL MUCOSA: NEW APPROACHES AND METHODS IN BIOMEDICINE
Keywords:
Oral mucosal cancer, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, nanomedicine, precision medicineAbstract
Locally advanced cancer of the oral mucosa presents significant therapeutic challenges due
to its complex anatomy, high recurrence rates, and resistance to conventional treatments. Current
approaches involving surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy often result in functional
impairments, severe side effects, and suboptimal survival outcomes. Emerging biomedical
innovations, including immunotherapy, targeted therapies, nanotechnology-based drug delivery,
and gene editing, offer promising solutions to these limitations. This article reviews the latest
advancements in locally advanced cancer of the oral mucosa treatment, focusing on novel
biomedical strategies that enhance therapeutic precision while minimizing toxicity. By integrating
these cutting-edge approaches with traditional modalities, clinicians may improve oncological
outcomes and quality of life for patients with this aggressive malignancy.
