Sports medicine is an interdisciplinary branch of medicine aimed at
diagnosing, treating and preventing injuries resulting from physical activity, sports and an active lifestyle. Although it is not considered an
independent medical specialty, its importance in modern clinical practice is growing. The article discusses the main areas of sports medicine,
the role of doctors specializing in this field, the features of an interdisciplinary
approach, as well as the impact of prevention and rehabilitation on patient recovery.
