Abstract

The central nervous system (CNS) is an important control center of the body. Together with the peripheral nervous system, it controls movement, consciousness, sensation, and other physiological processes. Drugs that affect the CNS are important in the treatment of many diseases, and knowledge of their classification and mechanisms of action is important in the field of pharmacology.
