This article analyzes the linguistic and cognitive characteristics of biomedical texts within the framework of a linguocognitive approach. In the course of the research, the origin and structure of medical terms, the conceptual model expressed in the texts through metaphors and frames, as well as the cognitive readiness of the reader were studied. According to the results, the effective perception of biomedical texts is directly related to the syntax that meets the requirements of precise expression, standardization of terms, and taking into account linguocognitive characteristics.
