SESIA APIFORMIS: BIOLOGICAL BASIS OF MIMICRY AND SECRET LIFESTYLE
Keywords:
Sesiidae, Sesia apiformis, mimicry, hidden lifestyle, trees, morphological features, larva, imago, evolutionary adaptation, defense mechanism.Abstract
In this article, a study on the species Sesia apiformis was conducted in the Pop district of Namangan region. The results of the study showed that the larvae develop latently inside the tree trunk and the imago stage has a bee-like appearance, which is an effective defense mechanism against predators. These biological features allow the species to adapt to local ecological conditions and ensure population stability. The article emphasizes the ecological role of Sesia apiformis, the importance of preserving its habitats, and the need for further research.
