Abstract

As the world's demand for agricultural products increases, the creation of cotton varieties with high ripening, high yield, high fiber quality and yield, as well as resistance to diseases, pests and adverse environmental factors, and the breeding of varieties are of great importance. In this regard, the rational use of the resources of polyploid species of the Gossypium L. genus, which are a source of genetically rich and unique biodiversity, is of great importance. The morphobiological and economic characteristics of the varietal forms of the species G. barbadense L. are described.
