Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) is a widely used medicinal plant in traditional and modern pharmaceutical practices. This article explores the biological properties of chamomile (botanical description, chemical composition, ecological factors) and its medicinal properties (anti-inflammatory, sedative, antibacterial effects, and others). Based on literature reviews and clinical research data, it was determined that chamomile’s active compounds, such as chamazulene, apigenin, and essential oils, contribute to its therapeutic efficacy. The plant is significant in treating digestive disorders, skin conditions, and stress-related issues. Further research is needed to identify new therapeutic applications of chamomile.
