Abstract

: All processes of plant life, including growth, development, stress resistance, and metabolism, depend on energy. The source of this energy is mainly carbohydrates formed as a result of photosynthesis. Carbohydrates are important not only as reserve substances in plant cells, but also as a source of energy. The process of their decomposition is called dissimilation.
