SENSITIVITY OF THE CELL TO RADIATION
Keywords:
Cell, radiation, sensitivity, ionizing radiation, DNA damage, apoptosis, mutation, radioprotection, genetic responseAbstract
This thesis analyzes the sensitivity of cells to ionizing radiation, the main factors affecting this sensitivity, and the mechanisms of cellular response. The study studies the individual sensitivity of different cell types to radiation, their effects on DNA damage, apoptosis, replication processes, and mutational changes associated with radiation. At the same time, modern approaches that provide the possibility of reducing or controlling radiation sensitivity are discussed, including genetic modification, the use of antioxidants and radioprotectors. The results of the study are important for ensuring radiation safety in the fields of medicine, oncology, astronautics, and ecology.
