Abstract

The drying up of the Aral Sea has become one of the main environmental problems in Central Asia. This article examines the agrochemical and microbiological state of saline and arid soils located in the village of Aral in the Muynak district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The results of the study showed that the content of organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the soils is low. It was also found that the activity of microorganisms is significantly lower compared to zonal fertile soils, although they have adapted to severe conditions. The use of biofertilizers and microbiological preparations can be an important factor in increasing soil fertility [1, 4].
