Abstract

Drought is one of the main environmental stresses for plant life, and water scarcity negatively affects their growth, development, and productivity. The drought tolerance of plants depends on their genetic, morphological, physiological, and biochemical adaptation mechanisms, which ensure the survival of plants in the environment.
