Abstract

This thesis provides an in-depth study of local environmental emergencies and their impact on society, the environment, and human health. The thesis examines the types of environmental emergencies - air, water, land, and biological pollution. The main causes of these events are analyzed as technological errors, poor control, low environmental culture, and insufficient safety measures at enterprises. The thesis highlights the consequences of local environmental emergencies, namely, threats to public health, waste of natural resources, and situations leading to economic losses. It also provides specific recommendations for their elimination and prevention: strengthening the monitoring system, preparing for emergencies, compliance with environmental legislation, and increasing environmental culture among the population.
