TYPES 1 AND 2 DIABETES: DIFFERENCES, CAUSES AND TREATMENTS

This article explores the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus, their causes, pathogenesis, and treatment approaches. Type 1 diabetes is primarily an autoimmune disease that typically manifests in childhood or adolescence, characterized by insulin deficiency. Type 2 diabetes is more commonly acquired and is associated with insulin resistance. The article also discusses modern therapeutic approaches, the importance of preventive measures, and strategies to improve patients’ quality of life.
