GENDER ASPECTS OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OF KYRGYZ PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH OF KYRGYZSTAN (ETHNOSOCIAL ANALYSIS)

The article is devoted to the analysis of gender aspects of religious education among the Kyrgyz population of southern Kyrgyzstan. The study focuses on socio-cultural differences in the upbringing of boys and girls in a religious environment, the specific features of women's and girls' access to Islamic religious education, the role of gender norms in the family and madrasahs, and the influence of traditional and neo-traditional religiosity on the formation of gender identity. The methods used are field research, interviews, observation, and ethnosocial analysis. Structural and cultural factors that exacerbate gender inequality in religious education are identified. The conclusion is made about the need to develop context-sensitive approaches to religious education, taking into account gender balance and human rights.
