Tetracycline antibiotics have a broad spectrum of activity and play an important role in medicine and pharmaceuticals. The main producers are actinomycetes such as Streptomyces aureofaciens and Streptomyces rimosus. Optimal fermentation conditions, nutrient media composition, as well as methods of tetracycline extraction and purification represent the core stages of the biotechnological process. For large-scale industrial production of antibiotics, the development of high-yield strains and bioprocess optimization are crucial directions.
