Keywords:
Uzbek folk epics, folklore, epic tradition, Turkic peoples, comparative analysis, Alpomish, folk oral literature.Abstract
This article analyzes the commonalities and differences between Uzbek folk epics and the folklore of fraternal Turkic peoples on a scientific basis. The main goal of the study is to reveal the historical-cultural, mythopoetic connections between Uzbek folk epics (especially "Alpomish", "Gorogly", "Kuntugmysh") and the epic heritage of the Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples. The work uses comparative-typological and poetic analysis methods. As a result, it was found that there is a common Turkic epic archetype in the epics of the Turkic peoples, but each people formed its own epic school based on the national spirit and historical experience.
