Abstract

This thesis provides a broad overview of the biotechnological potential of microorganisms, their applications in industry, medicine, agriculture, and ecology. The advantages of using microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and yeast in biotechnology processes for the production of enzymes, antibiotics, organic acids, alcohols, vaccines, and biopreparations are highlighted. The importance of genetic engineering and fermentation processes, as well as the role of microorganisms in bioremediation, are also analyzed. The study reveals the current development trends in microbial biotechnology.
