This thesis covers the scientific foundations of cell, plant and genetic engineering, their applications in biotechnology and agriculture, as well as modern genetic editing technologies. In cell engineering, the processes of working with protoplasts, somatic hybridization, the phenomenon of totipotency and in vitro tissue culture are considered in detail. In plant engineering, the dependence of callus formation, organogenesis and embryogenesis on hormones is analyzed.
