Abstract

This thesis provides a detailed study of the enzymes active in the respiratory system and their biological significance. The research primarily analyzes, from a scientific perspective, the role of enzymes such as peroxidases, cytochrome oxidases, and catalases in oxygen exchange through the air, cellular metabolism, and the neutralization of free radicals. The biochemical reactions carried out by these enzymes during respiration, their mechanisms, and their impact on cellular energy production are examined. Additionally, diseases associated with decreased or impaired enzyme activity are also analyzed. The thesis emphasizes that enzymes in the respiratory system have practical importance in both the scientific field and in medicine and biology.
