CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF GASTROINTESTINAL FLUID DIAGNOSIS

This article considers the role of gastric fluid (gastric juice) analysis in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases and its fundamental importance in clinical diagnostics. Despite the development of endoscopic methods (FGDS) in modern medicine, laboratory examination of the secretory and acid-forming functions of the stomach has not lost its relevance.
The article analyzes the physicochemical properties of gastric juice - changes in quantity, color, odor, acidity level (pH) and enzymatic activity - in connection with various pathological conditions. In particular, the role of hypoacid and hyperacid states in the differential diagnosis of chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer and malignant tumors is highlighted on the basis of real-life examples and clinical observations. The article also contains important information about what pathological impurities (blood, bile, lactic acid) in the composition of gastric juice can signal dangerous processes. Correct interpretation of the test results allows the doctor not only to make an accurate diagnosis, but also to determine an individual treatment strategy.
