Abstract

This article investigates the initial chemical composition of a black, viscous waste material, namely tar, formed during the polyethylene production process. During the study, the composition of the tar product after pyrolysis at 600 °C for 2 hours was analyzed and compared with its initial composition. The article has practical significance and may be applied in the chemical industry.
