Abstract

This article extensively discusses the theoretical foundations, structure, operating principles, and importance of fiber-optic communication lines in modern telecommunication systems. During the research, types of optical fibers, transmission technologies, and signal loss factors were analyzed. The results showed that fiber-optic communication lines are characterized by high speed, large capacity, and resistance to electromagnetic interference. The article is devoted to the development and improvement of optical communication systems.
