This article provides a scientific and historical analysis of the role and activities of female medical workers in the process of reforms implemented in the healthcare and medical sector in Uzbekistan during the years of independence. The study covers the stages of development of the medical system based on regulatory legal acts, state programs, and archival sources that regulate the sector. It also demonstrates the contribution of women to medical management, clinical practice, and the development of medical science through specific examples. The article pays special attention to the scientific and practical activities of female specialists in complex medical areas such as tuberculosis, oncology, and cardiac surgery. The results of the study confirm that women have emerged as an important strategic force in healthcare reforms in Uzbekistan.
