THE SYNTACTIC FUNCTION OF THE WORD IN MEANING CHANGE IN ARABIC

This article examines the syntactic function of case endings (i‘rāb) in meaning formation in Arabic. The study analyzes the roles of nominative, accusative, genitive, and jussive forms in determining grammatical relations, ensuring semantic precision, and eliminating ambiguity. Through illustrative examples, the research demonstrates how case endings distinguish between subject and object, define the structural center of the sentence, and shape communicative orientation. The findings confirm that the system of i‘rāb serves as a central mechanism that guarantees syntactic stability and semantic clarity in Arabic.
