Abstract

This thesis analyzes the historical significance of the formation of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan, arguing that the country's secession from the Soviet Union and the achievement of sovereignty was one of the most important events in the history of Uzbekistan, symbolizing the restoration of national statehood, the fulfillment of the centuries-old dream of the Uzbek people. Independence created the opportunity for the people to self-determine their destiny, restore national values, language and culture, and also take a worthy place in the world community.
