ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF DETERMINING THE QUANTITY OF REPELLENT SUBSTANCES AND PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATIONS BY IODIMETRIC TITRATION

This article provides a comprehensive overview of the theoretical and practical foundations of the iodine titration method, its mechanism based on redox reactions, and its importance in pharmaceutical analysis. During the study, the chemical essence of the iodimetry and iodometry methods, their differences, and areas of application in analytical chemistry were scientifically analyzed. The high sensitivity and accuracy of the iodine titration method in the determination of reducing and oxidizing substances are explained based on examples. In particular, the effectiveness of this method in the determination of substances such as ascorbic acid, sulfites, iron(II) compounds, and hydrogen peroxide is shown.
