Diabetes mellitus is a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism and is characterized by high blood sugar levels. Along with traditional medicines, medicinal plants are being used as an effective adjunct in the management of diabetes. Their mechanisms of action include stimulating insulin production, lowering glucose levels, increasing insulin sensitivity, and having anti-inflammatory effects.
