Hujayra membranalari orqali modda va ionlarning tashilishi — tirik organizmlarda asosiy hayotiy jarayonlardan biridir. Transport kinetikasi — membrana transportining mijoz energiya manbalaridan, mexanizmlardan, va kinetik xususiyatlardan kelib chiqqan holda tushunilishini ta’minlaydigan ilmiy yo‘nalishdir. Ushbu tezisda membrana transportining tarixiy rivoji va zamonaviy tushunchalari, transport reaksiyalarini bog‘lash — simport va antiport mexanizmlari, ion gradienti energiyasidan foydalanish (ikkilamchi aktiv transport) hamda hujayra membranalarida energiyaning aylanishi (transduksiya) jarayonlari tahlil qilinadi. Shuningdek, ion nasoslari yordamida hosil qilingan ion gradientlari qanday qilib hujayra ichidagi bioenergetik jarayonlar uchun vosita bo‘lishi ko‘rib chiqiladi. Bu orqali hujayra transportining kinetik va termodinamik jihatlari o‘rtasidagi bog‘liqlik yoritiladi.
