Poliploidiya o'simliklarning genetik xilma-xilligini oshirishi, yuqori hosil va kasalliklarga chidamlilikni ta'minlashi mumkin. Turlararo duragaylash yangi genetik kombinatsiyalar yaratish orqali o'simliklarning sifatini yaxshilaydi. Tadqiqotlar natijalari shuni ko'rsatadiki, bu jarayonlar qishloq xo'jaligi uchun istiqbolli yo'nalishlar sifatida ahamiyatga ega.
