Neuromyelitis optica (NMO), shuningdek, Devic sindromi nomi bilan tanilga
va uning kengroq spektriga oid kasalliklar (NMOSD – neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders)
markaziy asab tizimining autoimmun kasalliklari guruhiga kiradi. Ushbu kasallik ko‘rish nervlari,
orqa miya, miyastabani va kamdan-kam hollarda miya supratentorial sohalarini zararlaydi. Bazan
Multiple Skleroz (MS) bilan ham chalkashib ketishi mumkin. Ushbu maqolada NMO va uning
zamonaviy davolash yo‘nalishlari, xususan, immunosupressiv terapiya va plazmaferezning klinik
qo‘llanilishi ko‘rib chiqiladi. Maqola tahliliy yondashuv asosida yozilgan bo‘lib, mavjud klinik
ma'lumotlarga asoslanadi.
