Ushbu maqolada qora sedana o‘simligining kimyoviy tarkibi, xalq tabobatidagi o‘rni va zamonaviy tibbiyotda qo‘llanilishi ilmiy jihatdan tahlil qilinadi. O‘simlik tarkibidagi biofaol moddalarning — timoxinon, nigellon, karvakrol, timohidroxinon, p-simen va boshqa birikmalarning — inson salomatligiga ijobiy ta’siri yoritilgan. Maqolada xalq tabobati va zamonaviy tibbiyot tajribalari qiyosiy o‘rganilib, qora sedananing yallig‘lanishga, saraton, diabet, jigar hamda yurak-qon tomir kasalliklariga qarshi ta’siri ilmiy manbalar asosida tahlil qilingan. Bundan tashqari, qora sedananing tabiiy dori vositasi sifatidagi afzalliklari, farmatsevtika sohasidagi innovatsion tadqiqotlar, va kelgusida uni tibbiy amaliyotda keng qo‘llash imkoniyatlari haqida tavsiyalar ishlab chiqilgan.
