Ma’lumki, kub dеganda faqat uning qirralaridan iborat, ya’ni simdan yasalganday shakl nazarda tutilishini qayd etib qo‘yamiz. Quvish va qochish jarayonida qatnashuvchi nuqtalar mana shu shakl, ya’ni kubning qirralari bo‘ylab harakat qilishi lozim. Bunda quvuvchilarning eng katta tеzligi u qochuvchiniki esa v ga tеng (u v , – tayin musbat sonlar). Kubqirralari ustida quvish masalasi muzoka olib borilgan.
