Abstract

The content of educational materials on lexicology in foreign language learning and the essence of lexical competence are crucial in the language learning process. These materials are aimed at developing students' understanding and correct usage of lexical units in a foreign language, encompassing vocabulary expansion, semantic features of words, and their contextual application. Lexical competence refers to a learner's ability to accurately understand and appropriately select words based on their meanings. Developing this competence aids students in conducting effective and meaningful communication in a foreign language, making it one of the primary goals in the language learning process.
