This article analyzes the impact of nuclear energy on the environment and its future prospects. The principles of operation of nuclear energy, its positive and negative effects, as well as issues of technological safety and waste management will be discussed. It shows that the positive aspects of nuclear energy are the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and high energy efficiency. However, it also talks about the negative effects of nuclear energy, in particular, nuclear waste and radiation hazard. It emphasizes the need to introduce new technologies to improve the safety of nuclear energy and reduce environmental risks. In the future, new approaches and safety measures to ensure the environmental safety of nuclear energy will be analyzed. Information is provided on the role of nuclear energy in the field of climate change and global energy supply.
