Abstract

Humanity gives a name to any object and phenomenon that it
recognizes, including a baby who was born, with a certain word. And the name of a
person and an object, a phenomenon, a concept has its own characteristics.
Analyzing these features, the article also defines the nominative principles, signs and
features common to the motives of the origin of nouns. Events related to the motives
for the origin of people's names are often found in oral literature. For example, in
fairy tales or heroic songs, special attention is paid to the name of the main
characters. Their names will be known before they are born, and they will represent
names that will be revelations from the unknown, the master of holy power or spirits.
Also, depending on the specific characteristics of a person, certain events, names
are put. All of them are fundamental motives for creating new names. Some of its
elements have survived to this day. In the article, relying on the materials of oral
literature, the emphasis is placed on the relationship between the motives of the
origin of Kazakh names and naming traditions.
