The mechanisms of adaptation of endophytic fungi to the plant root system and their biological role in protecting plants against harmful nematodes are discussed.
Endophytic fungi are symbiotic with plants, enter root tissues and adapt to live there. In this process, they introduce themselves to plant cells through special enzymes, secondary metabolites and signal substances and suppress the immune response. The article also analyzes the role of endophytic fungi as natural antagonists against nematodes, their toxin-producing properties and the physiological changes that protect the plant root system on a scientific basis.
