THE POSSIBILITIES OF PROBIOTIC SUPPLEMENTS AS A MEANS OF INFLUENCE ON THE IMMUNOLOGICAL INDICATORS OF THE ORGANISM
Abstract
This article examines the potential of probiotic supplements as a means of influencing the immunological indicators of the body. The low energy value of food and the low protein content in its composition, the lack of microelements and vitamins in the diet, especially A, C, E, D, β-carotene, essential microelements (zinc, iron, selenium, iodine),
polyunsaturated fatty acids, as well as diseases that deplete a person's energy and
intestinal dysbacteriosis, which occurs as a result of antibiotic therapy or other ecopathological factors,
cause a violation of immune function (Tkachenko E.I., 2006).
Immunomodulators are agents that stimulate the necessary functions of immunity (protection against infections and tumors) and inhibit its undesirable functions (allergies and autoimmune reactions). When correcting the microbiocenosis, natural modulation of immunity occurs, the inclusion of immunonutrients in the diet of healthy people enhances this effect, and complex forms of drugs (probiotics and immunonutrients) are a promising way to prevent seasonal infectious diseases. Immunonutrients include essential trace elements, vitamins, polyunsaturated fatty acids and probiotics, which contribute to the maturation of cells responsible for immunity and the normal functioning of the entire immune system (Tutelyan V.A., 2002).
