BIOECOLOGY AND DISTRIBUTION OF MEDICINAL PLANTS BELONGING TO THE FAMILY AMARANTHACEAE JUSS. DISTRIBUTED IN THE SURKHAN STATE RESERVE

Plants belonging to the Amaranthaceae Juss. family are characterized by morphological and ecological adaptability, as well as their importance in medicine and the food industry, and, unlike many wild and cultivated species, they are distinguished by their good growth in saline soils and drought resistance. The leaves and branches of plants belonging to this family are used in folk medicine to treat many diseases, at the same time, their nutritional value is also high and they have been scientifically evaluated as promising halophyte plants for the reclamation of desert pastures. The Amaranthaceae Juss. family includes 2032 species belonging to 197 genera [13]. This family is naturally distributed in Central Asia with 53 genera and 292 species [1,2], Uzbekistan with 47 genera and 91 species [7], Surkhandarya with 36 genera and 77 species, and Surkhandarya with 10 species belonging to 7 genera. Five species belonging to the Amaranthaceae Juss. family distributed in the reserve have medicinal properties, and I will discuss these species separately below.
