GENETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF PLANTAGO OVATA (FORSSK.)
Keywords:
genome, genetic diversity, chromosome, karyotype, genetic map.Abstract
This article presents information on the genetic properties, karyotype, chromosome structure, genome size, and genes determining beneficial traits of Plantago ovata Forssk. Through in-depth study of plant genetics, it is possible to create high-yielding, stress-resistant, drought- and salinity-tolerant varieties. This is important for obtaining high-quality products in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
